Create and manage a work order

Turn maintenance issues into trackable venue work.

01

Before you start

  • Confirm you are working in the correct TandemOS organization.
  • Open the correct event, venue, space, person, or record before making changes.
  • Confirm your TandemOS role has access to the module used in this workflow.
  • Identify the correct venue, space/location, asset, priority, and requester before creating work.
02

Complete workflow

  1. 1

    Open Maintenance or Maintenance Request.

  2. 2

Create a work order with location, asset, priority and description.

  3. 3

Assign the work order when ownership is known.

  4. 4

    Update status as work begins.

  5. 5

    Add requester updates/comments when needed.

  6. 6

    Record the resolution.

  7. 7

Mark the work order complete and confirm it remains searchable in TandemOS.

03

Verify the result

  • Confirm ownership/assignment and current status are visible to Operations.
  • Confirm comments/requester updates are retained in history.
  • Close the order only after the resolution is documented.
04

Troubleshooting

I cannot see the action or button.

Check your role, the active organization, and whether the required TandemOS product is enabled. If the action is event-specific, confirm you opened the correct event.

The record saved but another screen did not update.

Refresh the connected destination and confirm the source record is in the correct status. TandemOS only carries forward records that are ready/published/approved for that workflow.

See the connected system

This workflow does not live in isolation.

TandemOS carries the same event, people, permissions and operating history through the rest of the venue lifecycle.
