Create an event from Sales & Booking

Start with the booking inquiry, build the commercial shell, then convert the confirmed booking into the shared event record.

Before you start

  • Confirm you are working in the correct TandemOS organization.
  • Open the correct event, venue, space, person, or record before making changes.
  • Confirm your TandemOS role has access to the module used in this workflow.
  • Have the client/contact, requested dates, space preference, attendance, and commercial assumptions ready.

Complete workflow

  1. 1

    Open Sales & Booking and create or open the opportunity.

  2. 2

    Confirm the client, event concept, attendance, preferred dates, venue and space.

  3. 3

    Move the opportunity through qualification, holds and proposal as the booking develops.

  4. 4

    Build the commercial terms and attach the current proposal / contract documents.

  5. 5

    Add internal booking notes that Operations will need after handoff.

  6. 6

    When the booking is confirmed, choose Convert to Event and assign the Event Manager if known.

  7. 7

    Open the new event record and verify the client, date, space, booking notes and commercial context transferred before department advance begins.

Verify the result

  • Confirm the opportunity stage, holds, commercial terms, and contract status are current.
  • When converting, open the live event and confirm the booking/contract context carried into the event record.
  • Do not rebuild executed commercial terms inside Settlement; they should come from Sales & Booking.

Troubleshooting

I cannot see the action or button.

Check your role, the active organization, and whether the required TandemOS product is enabled. If the action is event-specific, confirm you opened the correct event.

The record saved but another screen did not update.

Refresh the connected destination and confirm the source record is in the correct status. TandemOS only carries forward records that are ready/published/approved for that workflow.

The event does not reflect the negotiated deal.

Open Sales & Booking and verify the latest contract is executed and linked to the event. Finance should consume that contract basis rather than editing terms in Settlement.
